The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s signature environmental conference returns as a featured event of the international EcoSummit 2012 on October 3 at the Greater Columbus Convention Center. Now in its sixth year, the Summit on Sustainability & the Environment was developed to aid community leaders, businesses and individuals in going green. This exciting event brings hundreds of people together from diverse backgrounds who share a common interest in making the world a better place for existing and future generations.
“Green World, Green Region” captures the theme of the event, which will include a keynote program, awards ceremony, and a full day of workshops and discussions. Join the conversation and come out to hear local and global perspectives about exciting sustainability topics such as trails and active transportation, water quality, air quality, renewable energy, local food systems and sustainable business practices.
This year only, Summit attendees will receive the added bonus of the EcoSummit exhibition hall. Attendees will experience a taste of EcoSummit with a short subject eco-film festival, poster sessions presented by EcoSummit participants, and The Ohio State University (OSU) Innovation Showcase, which will display examples of OSU research and development projects that support sustainability. Early bird registration is only $75 for the day-long Summit and includes meals.
